Skater Miesha heads to Slovenia

An eight-year-old city figure skater is about to embark upon a European adventure. 

Miesha Cooke Smith, who trains at Planet Ice, will jet off to Slovenian capital Ljubljana to compete in the Tivoli Cup.

She will be up against strong competition in the cubs category for skaters born in 2002 or 2003 and will be hoping to improve on the ninth place finish achieved when she last competed internationally.
