Eight-year-oldfigure skater Miesha Cooke Smith finished fourth out of 29 competitors when competing internationally in Slovenia.
Miesha, who trains at Planet Ice, was 12th to take to the ice and was awarded the highest marks for skating skill out of the entire field.
She finished behind two Bulgarian skaters and one Austrian overall and is now keen to test herself against international competition again.
The star of the future has recently achieved her National Ice Skating Association level four qualification, and her age and ability now mean that she is eligible for the national development team for a further year.
