Martin number 1 as Dons squad numbers revealed

David Martin has been official handed the number one shirt for MK Dons' 2010/11 season.

The squad numbers have been revealed for the upcoming season and tongues will be wagging after Martin, who joined the Dons on a free from Liverpool this summer, selected the number one shirt.

But that does not necessarily mean Martin is the first choice for the goalkeeping spot, as Willy Gueret and Stuart Searle stuck with 12 and 17 respectively, the numbers they wore last season.

Elsewhere, Sam Baldock has made the switch from 11 to 10 while Dietmar Hamann will don the same number he wore for Germany and Liverpool - 16.

Captain Dean Lewington sticks with his familiar number 3, Aaron Wilbraham remains number 9, Jermaine Easter 8 and Peter Leven 22.

New signings Gary MacKenzie (5), Angelo Balanta (11) and Lewis Guy (14) have also been handed their shirt numbers for the season.
