It's been a superb week for everyone involved with the club.
We bounced back superbly from a disappointing result at Carlisle with a tremendous performance against Blackpool and a win against Swindon.
The noise against Blackpool was really impressive, I didn’t realise that the fans got so excited here!
As for our performance against Swindon, I thought we should never have been a goal down it was almost heartbreaking because the lads had played well, and Swindon didn’t really have a kick.
They were fortunate to score right in injury-time in the first half from a long throw. It was very disappointing but we came back in the second half and thoroughly deserved the win.
Sam Baldock got two lovely opportunist goals - he does extra training every day, he’s a pleasure to work with.
Alex, myself and the Gaffer spend a lot of time with him.
I don’t think he would like to be called the prize asset here. He’s one of them, I think we’ve got so many good players starting with the captain Dean Lewington.
Obviously because of Sam’s youth and vitality he’s seen as the star and we’re delighted to have him here.
The goals are getting shared around with Lewis Guy, Jabo Ibehre, Jermaine Easter and Peter Leven all chipping in. And Angelo Balanta is desperate for a goal, he showed off all the skills again against Swindon.
The transfer window has come and gone, I quite like the idea because it’s good for limiting the times when agents are pestering you.
I’m happy with the way we operated in this window by bringing in players before the season started so we knew our squad and we’ll live or die with it.
I think that creates a good team spirit.
Any team coming here now are really up against it because we really are good at passing the ball and we like to do that, the manager instils it - that’s the type of football we believe in. We’re really pleased with the type of football we’re playing and the wins we’re getting as a result of it.
