Dons complete incredible Smith swoop

Dons have completed an incredible deal for former England star Alan Smith.

The former Manchester United man has joined on a season-long loan from Premier League Newcastle.

Smith is still a household name and convincing him to drop to League One level is a real coup for Dons and a huge statement of intent.

The 31-year-old, who can play in midfield or up front, fits the bill as the 'marquee signing' boss Karl Robinson said he wanted to attract to stadiummk.

He will be officially unveiled tomorrow afternoon.
