A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has been sentenced to six years in prison for robbery.
On Saturday March 13, he and three other youths made off with £25,000 worth of jewellery from George and Co in Hatton Gardens, London.
One boy, 17, entered the shop dressed as a woman in a green flowery dress, and held the door open for the three other robbers.
The 15-year-old from Milton Keynes, who cannot be named for legal reasons, produced a Mac 10 machine gun from his holdall, pointing it at staff and customers, while two others ransacked the shop, smashing the display cabinets with hammers.
The four fled, but the boy was arrested at his home on April 30.
He was sentenced on Friday at Blackfriars Crown Court to six years' imprisonment for robbery and three years for possession of an imitation firearm, which will run concurrently.
Two of the other youths, from London, received six and five years, while one is as yet unidentified.
DI David Malcom of the Metropolitan Police said: "The ruthlessness of these individuals, especially given their young ages, is shocking and today's sentences indicate the danger they posed.
