Woburn 'raver' died after drugs cocktail

A 21-year-old man died of an overdose after taking a cocktail of drugs at an illegal rave, an inquest has found.

Sam Rennie, from Warren Bank, Simpson, Milton Keynes, was found dead at home after attending the rave in a disused shed on the Duke of Bedford's estate in Woburn on the night of Saturday, October 31.

An inquest on Friday found that he died of an overdose of a combination of drugs including methadone, cocaine, ketamine, amphetamines, morphine, TFMPP – a legal alternative to ecstasy – and alcohol, taken within a 36 to 72 hour period before his death.

Mr Rennie, who lived alone and had been unemployed for some time, went to the rave over the weekend of Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1.

He was last seen alive at 9pm on Monday, November 2 by a friend.

The same person found him unresponsive at midday on Tuesday, November 3.

Paramedics were called and confirmed his death at 1.45pm.

Verdict: accidental death.
