A man has been arrested on suspicion of reactivating a deactivated gun after a raid in Stantonbury.
On Thursday Metropolitan Police officers carried out a warrant in Kents Road under the theft act and found a number of weapons.
The search was in relation to car and plant theft.
However, while carrying out the search warrant, a number of old weapons were recovered and seized.
Further analysis will establish if any offences under the firearms act have been committed.
Police arrested the 58-yearold man on suspicion of attempting to reactivate a deactivated firearm.
He has been released on police bail pending further investigation.
