Residents have donated a gift to the PM's newborn daughter.
MP for Milton Keynes South, Iain Stewart, accepted a gift of a knitted cardigan on behalf of the Prime Minister, David Cameron, and his wife, Samantha, from Friends of the Stony Stratford Health Centre.
The group also made a presentation of an emergency trolley to the Stony Stratford Health Centre purchased from funds generated through their fundraising activities.
Mr Stewart said: "It was a pleasant surprise that my constituents have knitted such a beautiful gift for the Prime Minister’s newborn daughter. I took this gift straight to Downing Street. The Cameron’s were very touched by this exceptionally kind gift.
"The Friends of Stony Stratford Health Centre have worked hard for 20 years raising funds to buy various equipments for their health centre. I know that they are desperately looking for some younger volunteers to help them continue their valuable work. I would strongly urge anyone locally who can spare a few hours a month to get in touch with them.
"I pay tribute to Peter Keens, committee members and volunteers of the group for all their hard work. They have raised an astounding £120,000 over the years."
