The music world is in mourning after the death of Sir John Dankworth.
Sir John 82, died after a long illness on Saturday in the King Edward VII Hospital in Central London.
He co founded The Stables music venue in Wavendon with his wife Dame Cleo Laine.
His widow was praised for her "incredible bravery" after she went ahead with a sell out charity concert in the evening celebrating 40 years of the venue, not breaking the news to the audience until just before the finale.
Their children Alec and Jacqui also performed at the show.
