The public are being invited to give their views on the future of rail services in Milton Keynes at a council committee meeting.
In September last year Milton Keynes Council’s External Scrutiny Panel noted concerns about various aspects of the provision of rail services in Milton Keynes, including punctuality and overcrowding.
The topic will be further discussed at the Economic Development and Enterprise Select Committee, being held on Tuesday, March 16 at 7.30pm in Meeting Room 2 at the Civic Offices in Silbury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes.
The meeting will look at the services offered by London Midland, Network Rail, and Southern Trains and how they can be improved. Representatives from all three organisations will attend.
Cllr Isobel McCall, committee chairman, said: “The subject of rail services in Milton Keynes is a topical one, and we want as many people as possible to come and give us their views at this meeting.
“An effective train service is a vital component in the economy of Milton Keynes.”
