Denbigh roundabout to undergo essential works

RoadworksEssential improvements to the busy Denbigh roundabout in Bletchley start this month.

From Monday, February 13 for five nights the roundabout will be closed off on each entry and exit road in order to undergo much needed resurfacing.

In order to keep disruption to a minimum, the resurfacing work will be carried out overnight between 9pm and 6am.

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted and there will be an advisor on hand to provide guidance on the alternative routes.

The resurfacing of the Denbigh roundabout is part of a wider project to improve the traffic flow in the area and addresses concerns over the road surface which has been affected by the high volume of traffic using these roads.

Cllr John Bint, cabinet member for transport, said: “This roundabout has needed upgrading for some time, so we’re glad to be able to announce when the work will start.

“We will be doing our best to keep disruption to a minimum, and motorists will definitely notice the difference once the resurfacing is completed.”
