Young people who make a short film encouraging fellow youngsters to take a test for Chlamydia could get the chance to meet soap actors.
NHS Milton Keynes is asking people aged 15 to 24 to make a film of no longer than five minutes about why Chlamydia tests are important and how easy it is to take the test.
The entries will be judged by a panel including local actors Ayden Callaghan, formerly of Emmerdale, and Jake Hendriks, who used to be in Hollyoaks, as well as local health specialists.
Derys Pragnell, senior health improvement specialist said: " Chlamydia is a serious issue. It is vital that young people know about it and how quick and easy it is to be tested.
"The film can be as imaginative as you like, but do remember that NHS Milton Keynes will want to promote the winning entry."
The completed film should be added to YouTube and a link sent to
communications@mkpct.nhs.uk or to NHS Milton Keynes' fan page on Facebook before March 30, 2010.
Entrants should include their name, date of birth and contact details.
The winning entrant will receive a brand new ipod and will be handed their prize by the star studded panel.
The winning film will also be used to promote Chlamydia awareness locally.
