A chart-busting teenage star says she is glad Simon Cowell has not forced the high-waisted trouser look upon her group.
City girl Natalie Chua, 13, and her band Angelis stormed into the charts at number two.
The former St Thomas Aquinas pupil said: "When they phoned us I was so excited I was dancing around my cat, I think I scared it. I was just at home doing my homework. It was really good." Six weeks on, they remain in the top 20 and are touring around the country.
Natalie added: "We have seen Simon quite a bit, like the other day when we were getting our new clothes. We put them on and he made some changes.
"He hasn't got us in high-waisted trousers though, we haven't even seen him in any. I have been recognised a few times. My friends from MK and London are being so supportive.
"I rang my old dance teacher Kathleen Woollard the other day, I try to keep in touch. She is really supportive and pleased for me."
