Up, up and away for balloon site

Milton Keynes has an interesting skyline with the Xscape and the Point just two stand out buildings but what does it is the bird's eye view like?

Now a Buckinghamshire-based hot air balloon pilot with a passion for adventure is allowing passengers the chance to experience the sensation of balloon flight from a new launch site in MK.

Stuart Seager, who has run Champagne Flights for 22 years, already has several launch sites in the Aylesbury area but due to rising demand decided to create the opportunity to operate from unknown territory.

The new site is just four miles from central Milton Keynes, located at Hunter's Farm Shop on the A5.

Besides offering the opportunity to witness some spectacular aerial views across the county, Stuart is hoping to support the local economy by boosting trade for the local farm shop which provides fresh farm produce.

He said: “By having the new site at Hunter’s Farm Shop, it’s a great way of encouraging local business and also offers more of a ‘day out’ experience.

As we usually fly in the evening, it affords people the chance to make more of a day of it before their flight. The area is ideal for walking along the canal, visiting nearby Woburn Abbey or having a picnic.”

As well as operating regular passenger flights, Stuart is an experienced balloon pilot with a taste for the high life and adventure flying, which has seen him fly as far afield as Norway, Finland and Russia as well as the Swiss Alps.

While it is safe to say his passenger flights will not be visiting the same environments, Stuart is confident they offer a similar sense of adventure and exhilaration to both first timers and seasoned flyers alike.
