Soap star to play Peter pan

TV star Louisa Lytton has been announced to play the title role in the city's Christmas panto, Peter Pan.



The actress best known for her work in The Bill and Eastenders will take on Henry "The Fonz" Winkler who will play the dastardly Captain Hook.

Louisa starred as the gangster's daughter Ruby Allen in BBC1's Eastenders and more recently as the likeable PC Beth Green in ITV1's long-running police drama.

She was also a much-loved participant on the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing and was named Sexiest Female at the British Soap Awards in 2006.

Speaking after the announcement, Louisa said: "I'm so excited to be making my pantomime debut in Milton Keynes this Christmas, and what a way to start my panto career - playing Peter Pan which is such a great role and working with a brilliant cast.

"I never thought I would be sword-fighting with Henry Winkler!"

Peter Pan is at Milton Keynes Theatre from December 5, 2008, to January 18, 2009.
