Auditions are to be held to find talented young musicians to take part in an anti-racism event.
Young people have a chance to take part in Milton Keynes' Love Music Hate Racism festival to be held at The Point in Central Milton Keynes on July 18.
The event, run by Milton Keynes Council Youth Service and returning to the city for its second year, offers an evening of entertainment for 13-19 year olds by young performers from across the city.
It aims to celebrate diversity and involve young people in anti-racist and anti-fascist activity.
Maria Cameron, event co-ordinator said: "Music is living testimony to the fact that cultures can and do mix and Love Music Hate Racism is a vibrant celebration of our multicultural and multiracial society.
"Whether you're in a band or a solo artist, whether you're into Rock, Hip Hop, Drum n Bass, Rap, Bhangra, Reggae, Punk, Grime, R&B, send us your CD or an internet link where we can hear your work and we'll do our best to find you a slot on the night."
Young people aged 13-19 are invited to send in their CDs or an internet link showcasing their performance by May 15 to Maria Cameron, 602 Midsummer Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 3NB, call 01908 252040 or email maria.cameron@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
